The Grove is a wonderful respite from the trail in the adorable town of Franklin NC. Unfiltered and Newfound are such gracious hosts who clearly prioritize hiker needs and experience during their stay. The Grove is clean, organized, and has such a warm, homey vibe. You are able to walk into town to the outfitter or other restaurants, and Unfiltered and Newfound will run a shuttle every day to help with your resupply. They are thru hikers so they just “get it” and run a hostel that makes it easy to rest and relax while completing your town chores easily as well. Thanks for a great stay!!

My wife and I stayed and The Grove last month during a week long section hike. We could not have been happier. Newfound and Unfiltered were great hosts. The hostel was very comfortable and clean and close to downtown. We did a great slackpack one day and early morning shuttles to Wayah Bald. We would highly recommend The Grove to any hiker!!!!!

Great place for hiker to stay and check out Franklin. The hostel is super close to town with food, resupply, a brewery, and an outfitter. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again.

Great place to stay, rest, and resupply while out hiking the trails. I absolutely loved my time here. And the memories I left with are priceless. Willow and Bluebs really know how to take care of a hiker. Check 'em out!

Wonderful hostel recently purchased by two thru hikers - Willow and Bluebs. They are fantastic!!!!! The hostel is comfortable, super clean and a great location. They do your laundry and shuttle to resupply and other stores. They are kind, understanding, and all around awesome hosts. Thank you Willow and Bluebs!!!! :-) Jolly Rancher

Great hostel, very clean with comfortable bunks. The owners Willow and Bluebs are fantastic and make a great effort to think about the needs of hikers. Shuttles to trail and resupply and the hostel is close enough to walk into town.

Had the opportunity to stay Wednesday, July 30th, before kicking off a little section hike and I loved The Grove! Awesome location makes it really easy to check out downtown Franklin and walk over to Lazy Hiker for a beer and food. I didn't stay in one of the private rooms but my bunk was comfortable. While I didn't have the opportunity to meet Willow or Bluebs during my stay, newly minted AT thru hiker Pickles was a great host in their absence! Overall, great spot, highly recommend.

Great hostel stay in an excellent location. Hosts were welcoming and friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Clean and cozy interior, with mountain views while still a short walk to downtown Franklin. Would definitely stay here again!!

The owners are some of the most generous and welcoming people. Had a very wonderful stay and would recommend this hostel to anyone stopping by the area. Everything was very clean and people were respectful.

Bluebs and Willow are the best, please stop and help support these guys as they get their shuttle back in service. Centrally located with an easy walk to main st. Within.5 miles from Ingles and DG with outdoor 76 also close by. Most importantly bluebs is extremely knowledgeable on the AT and his advice is invaluable with Willow's warm presence and welcoming personality making the hostel feel like a visit to friends who you've known for years
